Clerkenwell Design Week returns to the subterranean House of Detention, to introduce Platform, a show that recognises some of the world’s most exciting up-and-coming design talent. Exploiting the venue’s atmospheric architecture, Platform creates a stunning backdrop for a curated collection of international and cutting-edge design. Simplicity, transparency and quality are the key foundations to Alex’s work, his understanding of traditional crafts and modern manufacturing technologies combined with good design give to his work a unique aesthetic that does not engage with trends nor fashion. From his studio in Hackney he concentrates on creating idea and process driven products & furniture of exceptional quality.
