Clerkenwell Design Week returns to the subterranean House of Detention, to introduce Platform, a show that recognises some of the world’s most exciting up-and-coming design talent. Exploiting the venue’s atmospheric architecture, Platform creates a stunning backdrop for a curated collection of international and cutting-edge design. Pemara Design is an Irish based furniture design company with roots in Danish furniture traditions, designing and developing a unique line of furniture. Pemara Design was founded by Danish designer Per Ploug, who has worked in the furniture industry for more than 20 years as a kitchen designer. Combining his many years of experience, his engineering skills and his knowledge of good interior design, made him form and create a unique dining table. Other products, such as a complimentary bench and a chair, have since followed. The Veizla table won a Bronze in the international A’Design Awards and Competition in 2014, which proved that the products have international appeal.
