A common factor in the creative activities of Matteo Thun & Partners is the connection between the built environment and the surrounding context. Their projects are sustainable, both in terms of environmental sustainability and durability of performance and aesthetic. A simple appearance and natural materials prevail in product design, bringing objects to life which come close to the iconography of their archetype and stay away from stylistic ‘isms’ in both small and large-scale projects.
The interior design by Matteo Thun & Partners follows the principle of sustainability by seeking the 3 Zeros – zero CO2, zero km, and zero waste. Through simplicity of design, functionality and a selection of shapes and materials according to the Genius Loci – the soul of the place – arise aesthetic value and durability. Moreover, Matteo Thun & Partners believe in the invisible qualities of an interior design, including aspects such as energy efficiency, noise reduction, natural light, visual contact with nature and a comfortable indoor climate through climate management.
