Kirill Istomin is internationally known for his high-end residential and commercial designs. After completing his fine arts degree in interior design and decoration at Parsons School of Design in New York, he began his career with one of the leading New York society interior design firms, Parish – Hadle – the company known for cooperation with such great names as Jacqueline Kennedy, Brooke Astor, Oscar De la Renta, and the Rockefeller family.
With 10 years of professional experience in New York behind him, in 2002 Kirill Istomin started his own firm with offices in New York and Moscow, maintaining the main focus on high-end residential and commercial interior design and decoration. The company manages projects in France, Italy, Russia, Kazakhstan, the United States, and Great Britain. Later Kirill has expanded his practice to include custom furniture, interior accessories, and his own design collections of wall papers, fabrics, and upholstery.
Kirill Istomin writes also a column in “Elle Décor” magazine. Rizzoli International Publications (USA) has released decorators glossary illustrated by Kirill Istomin – “The Pocket Decorator”. The articles about Kirill Istomin and his work are regularly published in leading Russian and foreign magazines.
Istomin has received various international awards. He has twice been awarded by Decorators Club of New York, first for “Excellence in Interior Design of Residential Architectural and Historical Landmarks” and for “Best Design”. In 2006 he was awarded the Association of Architects of Moscow Award for “Best Design of an Office Building”.
