Backgroung & Realizations: the projects

HOTEL BAUMANSKAYA, 2014

The Mercure Hotel Baumanskaya is located near the centre of Moscow. Its conversion called for an interior design concept that would provide business people with optimal accommodation by international standards while also featuring well-balanced local colour.
This was achieved by designing a monochrome colour concept for the walls and furniture that enters into a dialogue with the linearly coloured carpet. In addition, a so-called brand wall stages the Mercure brand, with wall designs from the Moscow underground or Russian Baroque providing individual highlights.

GOP VARIETÉ THEATER, 2013

The GOP vaudeville theatre in Bremen was opened in 2013 and is the largest newly built vaudeville theatre in Germany at this moment in time. In urban planning terms, the GOP is one of the elements of the former harbour areas along the Weser river to be currently modernized. The building with its eye-catching copper curtain quite deliberately draws attention to itself while providing an elegant connection to the new adjacent hotel building by way of a glass joint.
The interior of the GOP has a deliberately multi-functional design, with the self-contained main hall, for example, providing a monitor area that is turned towards the outside.  The south-facing restaurant space meanwhile opens up to the water by means of a glass facade, affording visitors outstanding views across the Weser river. And the dance club adjoining the restaurant area also has  a terrace that opens up a broad view across the water, too.

DEIMEL TAX CONSULTANCY FIRM

New office premises needed to be designed for the deimel tax consultancy company.  These premises are located in a new building at the edge of Lippstadt’s industrial area. The focus here was on the reception, a lounge, a waiting area and a bathroom.  For all other areas and topics such as the furnishings of the offices, for example, we served to provide supportive advice.

C. WIRSCHKE OUTFITTERS

C. Wirschke, a family business in the third generation, required the modernization and conversion of a boutique. The conceptual idea for this was based on the professional consultancy culture of the company, which is focussed on the individuality of the clients and always highlights a great number of combinations for them.

Kitzig Interior Design hence attached great importance to spatially changing atmospheres. The colours white and gold were meanwhile assigned to the ladies’ range, while dark and earthy shades predominate for the men. Consistently recurring burnished brass meanwhile serves as a bracketing and connecting element between the rooms and spaces. The flexible shop window concept developed in addition to this is able to respond to the respective season like a flexible stage, thanks to its changeable floor slabs and ceiling panels.

The Most Iconic Projects

1960’s BUNGALOW

With its solidly developed secondary and basement areas, the 380 m² Münsterland bungalow offers the sterling quality and charming design language of 60s architectural style.

The clear lines of a free-standing kitchen on parquet floor merge into the convincingly functional interior design of the living room area: the fridge and wine rack are right by the couch. Everything that distinguishes 1960s design is combined here: minimalistic in function and solidity – playful, but not excessively so, in the furnishings of the interior.
