Tom Dixon

Tom Dixon will host ‘TWENTY,’ an extraordinary exhibition in Milan to coincide with Salone del Mobile, to commemorate the British design brand’s 20th anniversary. New and classic collections will be presented for the first time in two locations: Palazzo Serbelloni and The Manzoni, the brand’s base in Milan, from the 7th to the 12th of June.

The new Melt Dichroic Filter Chandelier will debut at the TWENTY exhibits in Milan.

TWENTY At Palazzo Serbelloni

TWENTY, a design and innovation exhibition, will be held at Palazzo Serbelloni, a neoclassical castle where Sotheby’s, the world’s largest marketplace for art and luxury, houses its Milan galleries and offices. With 20 previously unseen creations on show, the event will focus on creativity and materiality.

Visitors will be able to see a carefully curated selection of designs, including some inspired by Tom Dixon‘s most well-known collections like MIRROR BALL, MELT, and FAT, some upgraded, and some in embryonic experiment-mode, providing a reflective yet forward-thinking overview of Tom’s prolific portfolio and journey to become one of Britain’s most celebrated designers.

‘You will find us tucked away in a historic palazzo in the center of Milan where the British auction institution Sotheby’s has its Italian headquarters. There could not have been a better platform to show TWENTY objects that explain some of the history, some of the processes of manufacture but also some of the new developments that describe the future of the brand. All of this coincides with Sotheby’s first Italian design sale, where the central position of Milan as the global capital for creativity is reaffirmed.’

The Manzoni

While the TWENTY displays will be held at Palazzo Serbelloni, the Tom Dixon International Sales Teams will use The Manzoni (the brand’s hub in Milan since 2019) as a ‘business center.’ New and existing customers will be able to see the entire spectrum of Tom Dixon‘s best-selling products.

Molteni

The Molteni Group is a significant supporter of the Aldo Rossi Exhibition Design 1960-1997 at the Museo Del Novecento, which will run from April 29 to October 2, 2022. 350 items, including furnishings, sketches, paintings, and models, are on show in an intriguing exhibition that investigates and reconstructs the extraordinarily imaginative world of design of one of the twentieth century’s masters of architecture. The Molteni&C|UniFor artworks on display are from the Molteni Museum’s permanent collection.

RoGUILTLESSPLASTIC 2022

RoGUILTLESSPLASTIC is an international project led by Rossana Orlandi and Nicoletta Orlandi Brugnoni that intends to engage the Designer and Creative Communities in exploring the endless possibilities of transformation for Plastic Waste and other sorts of Waste.

The Ro Plastic Prize is RoGUILTLESSPLASTIC’s international award, and it aims to engage a broader audience by challenging global communities of designers, innovators, entrepreneurs, startuppers, changemakers, creators, scientists, researchers, developers, and communication experts to propose re-Waste-related projects.
