Pierre Yovanovitch, a specialist in 20th-century furniture, particularly enjoys antique American and Scandinavian design, which he combines with specially crafted creations of his own. Yovanovitch’s love in modern art is a major component of his interior design work. Yovanovitch, a devoted collector himself, includes modern artwork in addition to hiring well-known and up-and-coming artists to produce site-specific pieces. The projects of Pierre Yovanovitch are extensive and include residential, hospitality, and commercial endeavors such a penthouse in Central Park, a five-star hotel in Paris, and a 17th-century chateau in Provence. Pierre is the manager of a group of more than 45 workers who work out of offices in both Paris and New York City. In order to market his high-end furniture and lighting designs globally, Pierre Yovanovitch announced the creation of his furniture brand, Pierre Yovanovitch Mobilier, in 2021. This brand will work in tandem with his interior architectural firm.

Twenty years after starting his interior architectural company, Pierre Yovanovitch founded Pierre Yovanovitch Mobilier. The company, which offers premium furniture and lighting to a wider audience, blends the designer’s trademark made-to-measure approach with excellent craftsmanship, materiality, and sustainable sourcing efforts. The designer is known for his signature haute couture style. The furniture and lighting pay homage to Yovanovitch’s Provencal roots, emphasizing the region’s natural light, rich and varied natural materials, and hues of the surrounding landscape, as well as the region’s longstanding commitment to craftsmanship.

Evolving from Pierre Yovanovitch’s experience creating custom luxury design works for his interiors, and following the success of his two furniture collections debuted through R & Company gallery (2017 and 2019), Pierre Yovanovitch Mobilier pieces are designed and manufactured according to the highest quality standards. The brand focuses on locally and sustainably sourced wood, natural, high-quality fibers, hand-blown glass and organic, non-toxic adhesives, to name a few. Furthermore, Pierre Yovanovitch Mobilier works with best-in-class artisans in France and Switzerland who utilize traditional crafting techniques. Partnering with French textile specialists who are recipients of the preeminent “Meilleur ouvrier de France” award are just some of the accolades received by artisan partners.

Pierre Yovanovitch received the Talent of Elegance in 2007 at the Talents du Luxe ceremony organized by the Center for Luxury and Creation. He has given several lectures including the Pavilion of Arts and Design on Swedish furniture and Maison & Objet on renovations in the hotel industry. In 2010, Pierre Yovanovitch is the only French to appear in the AD100 ranking of the best interior designers and decorators in the world, published by the American magazine Architectural Digest. In January 2017 and 2018 the interior designer is again hailed in this ranking by the magazine of reference American.
