Karim Rashid - The contemporary designer

Nostalgia is a word that does not enter the vocabulary of Karim Rashid. According to him, the world would be very different if the human being is known to live in the present, surrounded by places, objects and inspiring and contemporary experiences.

For Rashid, the world is now and there is no room for traditions, rituals, kitsch objects or meaningless pieces.

Rashid design impresses because of the quantity (over 3000 pieces produced, 300 prizes and presence in 40 countries), diversity (furniture design, spaces, product, new technology, lighting, packaging, fashion, identity, surfaces and not only) and modernity.

Rashid was born in Cairo , Egypt, in 1960 , and raised in Canada , where he graduated in industrial design and continued his studies in Italy where he developed his marvelous skills.
