Born in Bucharest, Romania, Alice Pirsu became a professional tennis player at age of 12. Playing on the tour she traveled to more than 50 countries around the world where she discovered a passion for art, foreign languages, and the richness of cultural diversity. In each city she traveled, every day she was off the court, she would immerse herself in visiting local museums, and architectural landmarks, and learning about the local culture and history. After her tennis career, she attended the University of Pennsylvania and earned a degree in Economics and International Relations.
Alice Pirsu’s inner desire to help people and create change in the world led her to an internship with the U.S. Senate. Yet, in spite of all these accomplishments, she felt something was missing and continued to search for her path and returned to her early passion in life – art, art history and design. She earned her second degree from the New York School of Interior Design and from there she had the privilege to work with renowned interior design firms in NYC on multi-million dollar home renovation projects in NYC, the Hamptons, and Bedford, NY.
Alice Pirsu designs safe, functional, elegant, and timeless environments for individuals and families to grow and thrive in. She strongly believes that a designer is a conduit through which the client’s vision, lifestyle and dream home are expressed. Her commitment is to use her design expertise to listen, understand and help create and realize the home where you belong. The best compliment she has received was from an out-of-town mother visiting her daughter after completing the design project. She walked through the home and then she stopped and said “The home is so much like my daughter, it is essentially her in every detail!”
