As a designer, musician and artist, Eileen Kathryn Boyd thinks in composition: a room is her canvas, and color is her medium. Her designs are always well-considered and curated to the minute detail. Balance is a key phrase in Eileen’s vocabulary, with elements of color, scale and pattern coming together to create a harmonious collaboration within a space. A mother of two, she understands that function must accompany beauty and is able to achieve a rare blend of both livable and stylish — with comfort considered just as vital as aesthetic.

Eileen draws from a combination of artistic intuition and formal education — including studies at the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design, Parsons School of Design and the American College in Paris — as she pieces together luxe, livable environments that echo the personal style of the homeowner. A subscriber to the notion that each individual has their own color footprint, Eileen’s pioneering color-story philosophy has earned her a proceeding reputation as a leading innovator within her field.
Together with her talented team of design associates, EKB Interiors has created environments that have been featured in the pages of some of the country’s top design publications, such as House Beautiful, Luxe Interiors + Design and Traditional Home. Eileen’s unique style has led to partnerships with luxury brands such as Mottega, Arteriors and her second fabric collection with Duralee is set for its fall 2014 debut.
