Transitional Renovation In Lake View
Located in the heart of Lake View, built in the early 1900s, this family home had great bones after a previous renovation but was lacking in personality. Donna Mondi Interior Design’s clients wanted to upgrade the “builder finishes” to reflect more of their personalities and design styles. Creative space planning, some well-placed architectural changes, and gorgeous furnishings transformed this home without invasive and wasteful renovations.
One Bennett Park Luxury Condo
Donna Mondi Interior Design’s love of blending classical architecture with modernity aligned perfectly with their clients’ taste and their eclectic condo in Chicago’s groundbreaking One Bennett Park. This stunning high-rise has gained much respect due to the architectural design by New York’s renowned Robert A.M. Stern. Taking our cues from the classical intention of the building and working with local artisans we created beautiful furnishings throughout, curated commissioned art and added decadent fabrics and rich area rugs to anchor every room. Every wall within the home is treated with specialty paint finishes, custom millwork, upholstered panels, or wall coverings and while it was a challenging task the result is breathtakingly cohesive.
No.9 Walton Modern Evolution
Leaving behind a traditional home in the suburbs of Chicago, this couple wanted a home that was a reflection of their modern and edgy style. Beautiful artwork and bold statements are a standout in this Gold Coast high-rise. The openness of the living area allowed Donna Mondi Interior Design to create unique and personalized spaces like the coffee/breakfast bar, a dining area and two seating areas where stunning views of the city can be enjoyed. Modern interiors, warm textures, edgy artwork and dramatic stone features create a home that is representative of the evolution of their style.

Located in Chicago’s premium neighborhood of the Gold Coast, this luxury residential high-rise condominium development broke boundaries by offering buyers individualized interiors through quality craftsmen and vendors. When Donna Mondi Interior Design’s clients said they love color, the team took this opportunity to break the cycle of neutrals not by ignoring them but by complementing them with rich tones of teal, chartreuse, and ochre. Custom rugs and furniture pair with dynamic lighting throughout. Commissioned art unifies each space through color, texture, and theme. Empty nesting never looked so good!
Paradise Valley, AZ Showhouse
This “Mod-iterranean” inspired home in Paradise Valley, AZ aligned perfectly with Donna Mondi Interior Design’s design mantra – the blending of classicism with modernity. Channeling the softer side of Mediterranean design, they started with a neutral color palette and brought in textures to create subtle drama. The dining room welcomes guests with a graceful dining chair from DMID’s own collection, dressed in shimmery velvet and corseted down the back. The outdoor courtyard beckons guests to gather and stay and showcases the new collaboration with world-class architectural stone purveyors Materials Marketing. The inspiration for the collection is derived from modern totem poles, blended geometric shapes and tension within the elements. A study in contrasts, materiality, and an understanding of surrounding influences creates the perfect gathering space, inside and out.
Modern Penthouse
