Matthias Burkart born 1957, studied architecture at the Fridericiana University at Karlsruhe. 1986-1993 at Behnisch & Partner Stuttgart. 1990-1992 and 1996-2001 lectureship at the University of Stuttgart. Since 2000 competition adjudicator. Member of the VFA and member of the Council for Building Culture at the German Cultural Council. Founder member of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB). Executive Partner of 4a Architekten GmbH.

Our office specializes in buildings for sport and leisure, hotels, cultural and educational establishments, as well as private housing construction. We conduct new construction projects and redevelopments in equal measure.
