Sharon McCormick is a renowned interior designer working from her firm Sharon McCormick Design, LLC based in Connecticut. Becoming an interior designer in 1999, she left her career to develop her design training at Paier College of Art, which she graduated from in 2002. Since then her work has been featured and reconised in Connecticut Home and Garden, Home Living Connecticut,Country Sampler Decorating Ideas, Distinctive Kitchen and Baths, Ridgefield Magazine, Fairfield County Homes, Natural Home, the Associated Press and HomeFurnishings.com and The Hartford Courant, being the cover of some of this publications.
Apprenticing with two interior design firms while pursuing her design education provided a solid foundation for starting her own firm. Her path has been recognized by been voted “Greater Hartford’s Best Interior Designer” by the readers of Hartford Magazine.
Nowadays, Sharon McCormick Design is an internationally recognized interior design firm, with projects completed in several states such as Florida, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, New York, Washington D.C. and Indiana. Finland is a country wher we can find her work too.
She participated in the YWCA Lyman Homestead Showhouse (2000) and Guilford Shoreline Foundation Showhouse (2002) and projected the family room for the Kinderwood Designer Showhouse 2005, which was held in Ridgefield, CT. In 2009 and 2010, Sharon designed the her most famous projects: “Romantic Master Bedroom” for the prestigious Junior League of Hartford Showhouse and “Gold, Silver, Champagne, & Pearls Living Room” for Spaces & Places, a benefit for the Hartford Preservation Alliance.
