As you know, the Covid-19 Pandemic is clearing off in China and to celebrate this fact we want to share a great design project that Carlisle Design Studio produced in this company before the pandemic crisis! This amazing British studio is excited to present Phoenix Mansions, a show apartment designed in a contemporary style and a villa in traditional Chinese style mixed with more current Western design.

The philosophy behind the project was to give a narrative to both the apartment and the villa even though they were show homes. The places were designed for families with each bedroom done for a specific family member – there is a grandparents’ bedroom, teenagers’ bedrooms, master suite and so on An all-encompassing elegance of the places is achieved through furniture, fabrics and equipment being mostly bespoke with lots of leathers, and a neutral color palette. The apartment color schemes are quite feminine with dominating soft pinks and greys.
In the course of the project, CDS team showed outstanding flexibility and blue-sky thinking when it became clear that shipping lighting to China was very challenging. To maintain the best quality, the team designed the lighting to be made locally while still achieving the highest level of design and quality: “When CDS completed Phoenix Mansion, a unique and revolutionary product was introduced into the Chinese luxury residential market, a new leading benchmark that exceeded all expectations characterized by an unseen standard of quality and an extremely well balanced composition of modern luxury and amenity.”
