Introduction

Founded in 1979 by Toni and Juan Molins, Molins Interiors is an interior design studio placed in the city of Barcelona, with extensive experience in home and commercial interior design,  responsible for carrying out a wide variety of different types of projects, such as urban living, restaurants, second homes, commercial premises, outdoor or boats.

The Molins team comprises a multidisciplinary group of in-house professionals and regular freelancers who, apart from the purely interior design aspect, cover various specialist areas such as architecture, landscaping, styling, graphics, management and marketing, amongst others.

Biography

Toni Molins is passionate about interior design. Her carrer began 35 years ago, in a time when there were not yet regulated studies in the field, and training has been entirely self-taught . She and her husband started their own business and have grown year after year.

Since its creation, in 1979 by Toni and Joan Molins, a couple, the interior design studio has done countless projects of interior design and architecture, leaving the imprint of our brand and therefore its values. The main goal of the studio is to always execute projects for who trust to carry out their dreams and illusions.

Molins interiors when it comes to interior design go beyond the term itself and they also refer to aspects; from the corporate image of the client in question, to the costumes and communication, so that everything comes together in a specific and defined plot. This methodology provides them with a necessary coherence within the interiorism sector.

Molins studio has a timeless style and an incredible attention to details, with special importance given to materials and textures. This characteristics and their personal vision of design and decoration are reflected in each of its projects. Their history began with a family project. Currently the studio is composed of a great team of professionals covering many disciplines within the industry: architecture, landscape architecture, interior design, graphics, etc. This allows them to develop global projects.

Is that the same environment in Molins Interiors they value and respect, so the team try to minimize the environmental footprint. They work with materials created from recycled raw materials, as well as paints and water-based varnishes that are an improvement of working conditions for those who manipulate and decrease the use of petroleum.

On the other hand, energy conservation is present in their philosophy, both in the office environment level as those facilities that do, using type LED bulbs, more efficient appliances, thermal insulation and the introduction of solar panels.

In domestic interior projects, Joan Molins highlight a floor of 1,000 square meters in Castellana, Madrid.

In commercial interior design the team choose the restaurant Xup Xup, because it was a draft comprehensive design made with minimal budget and they should adjust to the powerful concept that the place had. This project had a great impact on all kinds of national and international publications.
