Paris Déco Off will launch the newest developments in global design for 2023 on January 18. This thirteenth edition has invited about 100 designers of fabrics, wallpapers, trimmings, and other items from all over the world to set up shop in the center of Paris under the umbrella of art and culture with a focus on sustainability. The many showrooms and pop-ups at Saint-Germain-des-Prés on the Left Bank, and Rue du Mail and Place des Victoires on the Right Bank, are scheduled for five days of cordial discovery and exchange.
Paris Déco Off | International Home Décor Event
About 40,000 people are expected to attend the event, including both industry experts and members of the general public, with two thirds of them coming from outside. They will view the best works of art for 2023 while strolling through the French capital’s historic district, which combines exceptional workmanship and genuinely unrestrained creativity. Through breathtaking installations, which continually push the boundaries of home décor as demonstrated in the participants’ creations, each edition of the event offers an opportunity to imagine future design. The large furniture made by Ecart International will display a bombastic display of technical mastery and aesthetic, as found in the company’s new outdoor fabrics, and this year is no exception.
Alongside this presentation, the Paris Déco Off participating firms will enhance their exterior window displays for the Festival of Fabrics by covering them with elaborate hangings, wallpaper, and curtains. The several enormous lamps that have served as Paris Déco Off’s sparkling emblem for thirteen years will be back to give the city’s streets the ambiance of an elegant outdoor interior.
Additionally, an installation called Cardboard outside the Box will showcase Thebrands’ inventions at Paris Déco Home, an event devoted to various types of décor (including furniture, lighting, tableware, and more). A bedroom and lounge will be put up inside transparent bubbles by interior designer and artistic director Alice Forest, and they will be furnished with cardboard pieces by Emmanuelle Zarée, an artist working with Les Ateliers du Carton. Inside, a colorful show of timelessly modern technology will be created by a selection of 2023 launches by Paris Déco Off competitors.
Additionally, as usual, free shuttles on both the Left Bank (Place Saint-Germain-des-Prés) and Right Bank (Place des Petits Pères) will make it simple for visitors to move between showrooms.
