Dutch designer Maarten Baas has created the Maarten Baas 101 Chair for furniture brand Lensvelt, which is characterised by its irregularly shaped back. The Maarten Baas 101 Chair is available with or without armrests and with eight different backrest options – each shaped like it was drawn by hand.

The chair was designed to be used in both residential and public settings. “Craftsmanship is an essential part of my creative freedom for me,” Baas added. “Something has to look exactly as I had it in my head.”
