CAREER
Best Interior Designers – How did you get involved in the interior design Industry?
J&D Design – Our business incorporates art advisory as well as interior design. I trained as an artist and have a degree in public art and design specializing in research for color and design in hospitals. After several years working in the commercial property sector as an art advisor, I then met my business partner whose design experience stems from the residential property market. We formed J&D Design in 2017, and it was a natural progression to blend both our design skills within the framework of our business offering.
Best Interior Designers – How would you describe your work style? Do you have any kind of signatures that help to identify your projects?
J&D Design – Our style very much depends upon the client’s brief, however colour and light are key cornerstone considerations in the first instance. Often a piece of artwork can be a key inspiration for a point of departure.
