About Clint Lewis
Clint Lewis really loves his work because he can express his creativity. He thinks it is exciting that each project is unique with its own design brief and set of challenges.
‘I’m very much a people’s person and I work closely with my clients and suppliers throughout the design process, I love to interact and form connections with others,’ said Clint Lewis.
What makes Clint Lewis feel fulfilled professionally is when the spaces he designs come together as a complete picture. So much thought, time, and effort are poured into the completion of a project from so many different people and craftsmen. He loves to see the reactions on his client’s faces when they see the completed interior design project for the first time.
Each space is designed for certain use in mind, and it gives to the interior designer the real sense of fulfillment and accomplishment to know that these spaces are going to be used and enjoyed by people, family, and friends. Spaces to use and make memories in.
The most challenging time of Clint Lewis’s career was overcoming the fear of failure when he decided to start his own design firm in 2010. Until that point, he had worked for a well-known interior design company for 3 years, and during that time, he was very hands-on with the design and construction of projects and he learns a lot, but he knew deep down that he had to take the leap of faith and follow his intuition.
Clint Lewis believes that growth and achievement are continuous and evolve throughout the chapters of life. Priorities and end goals also tend to change over time, what he thought to be important to him a few years ago is no longer central in his life and who he is now. Until now, Clint Lewis has achieved many of the personal and professional goals he is ever set. But for him, the focus is on the journey, not the destination.

Projects
At the moment, Clint Lewis is working on renovating and redesigning a 200-year-old Quinta just outside of Lisbon. He has loved being part of the team working on restoring this beautiful and one-of-a-kind property.
‘It has taken many hours of discussions, designing, and planning to ensure the architectural and historic elements of the home are respected, whilst bringing the design of the home into the present day along with all the modern comforts. It has been an incredible journey and it is very exciting to see how the project is coming together and taking shape,’ said Clint Lewis.
Designing spaces to allow multi-functional use is what Clint Lewis believes to be the trend in the design world at the moment. He has definitely seen the home office as one of the areas of the home that have been highlighted in recent times.
With everything that has happened in our world in the last few months many people have to create workspaces within their homes and moving forward, many people and companies will continue to work in this way. In the home office, principles such as ergonomics, storage, and durability all play an important role.
To Finalise
‘I’m not just saying this because I am living now living in Lisbon, but I have always admired the high level of skill, dedication, and craftsmanship that I have seen and had the pleasure of working with here in Portugal,’ said to us Clint Lewis when we ask what he thinks about craftsmanship.
For Clint Lewis, the focus of the design world in the future will be comfort and simplicity. People want comfort and they want their lives to be as uncomplicated as possible. And it is only natural that the spaces that are designed for people should be reflected these same needs.
Through innovation and technology, he believes that interior design will continue to evolve and integrate people’s lifestyles and preferences with their environments.
