Great news from top interior designers. Rockwell Group announced recently their new hotel interior design project in Los Angeles! Take a look at a couple of designs and get to know details interior design company shared with the public.
Paying homage to mid-century modern architecture unique to Los Angeles, hotel Dream Hollywood will open in summer 2016. Influenced by residences designed by John Lautner, Richard Neutra and others, Rockwell Group is crafting a contemporary framework for the lobby, guestrooms, and rooftop amenities.
Similar to California hillside residences, the hotel interior design will have strong, seamless visual connections between the indoors and outdoors. In the lobby, the walls of the airy, double-height space will completely open up to a landscaped pedestrian alley. A garden path subtly guides guests from the entrance to the check-in and concierge area.
Drawing from this sense of openness, Rockwell Group developed two colour schemes for the guestrooms. The first palette, inspired by sky, water, and white houses against a desert backdrop, includes blue, white and other neutral tones accented with pops of orange. The second palette looks from the inside out with warmer hues from a sunset.
Amenities in this hotel interior design project include an 11,000 SF rooftop for dancing, lounging, and dining. A nightlife venue will be enclosed with a retractable roof designed to maximize views of the iconic Hollywood sign and the surrounding landscape. The pool area will offer intimate and more communal seating groupings, including raised cabanas and a fire pit.
Mid-century modern interior design is something we particularly admire. We can’t wait to see the final hotel interior design masterpiece!
