Biography: the man before the myth
Born in Stuttgart, Marc Heikaus grew up as an entrepreneur’s child. He was interested in his father’s company from a young age. At nine he washed cars, in his teens he worked as a mechanic. He gained experience in the crafts and commercial areas early on. He took his Abitur focusing on business in 1989, followed by training at a renowned shop fitting company. After completing training in 1992, he took the obvious step of joining the family’s company. The father of three knows how to use his confident, competent and target-oriented manner to further the success of his company.
“Shopping is influenced by emotions and moods,” says Marc Heikaus. They decide the customers’ purchasing power or frustration. Our team develops concepts that make “shopping” more emotional and tangible to the customer and turn it into a direct experience. Our concepts present products atmospherically. Individual needs and requirements are harmoniously included in the design.

To Heikaus GmbH, architecture as an expression of individuality means creating emotions. They consider their task to be to find the right language for you to express your individuality in.

Exclusive goods, best service and outstanding consulting – this is what la donna moden has stood for since 1999. The ladies‘ fashion provider for today‘s modern women is situated at the centre of Regensburg. Behind the inviting façade with round-arc display windows, the customer will find high-quality fashion of various labels, as well as an individual and tasteful furnishing concept on three floors.

Today Marc Cain is a globally operating premium brand for ladies’ fashion with its own production facility in Germany.
Detlef Becker is CEO and chief designer of the architecture company HEIKAUS Concept GmbH.
After his A-level he firstly graduated an apprenticeship for cabinet makers. On his passion for wood quickly followed the enthusiasm for configuration and design that incited Detlef Becker to his university studies of architecture.
After his successful graduation in architecture at the college of technologies Stuttgart he started his career at Schädler & Zwerger, an architecture office in Stuttgart. Here, he collected first professional experiences in high-building as employed architect.
Since May 2001, HEIKAUS is Detlef Becker´s creative home. He accounts for the development of architecture-, retail- and design-concepts.
