Traveling from South-East Asia to the Middle east or closer to home in Europe, inspiration and the ‘feed’ of different cultures are the backbone for the large variety of styles Ethic Chic team use in their projects. Through this thought the team is able to challenge themselves every time again. In the past years Ethnic Chic gradually grew from an interior shop in the heart of Amsterdam, to a design studio working on high-end interior projects around the world, together with an online shop. Their passion for interior design results in everything they do…
With strongly differentiated projects, Ethnic Chic tries to design a place where people feel they always want to return. From luxury apartments & lake house mansions to design concepts for 5 star hotels on the Fiji islands. These projects can not be just highlighted as luxurious interior design but a real passion for detail, color and finishes.
As owners and heads of design and marketing, Robin Toetenel & Youri van Oostendorp, try to achieve different perspectives together with their team. Out of the ordinary and the liberty to design the most high end home interiors.

House Lago di Como
This is a close-up of one of the projects Ethnic Chic did, the lake house in Italy. This private pool was a part of a 2 year renovation project. One of the biggest challenges was the modernisation, but at the same time, restoration of this ‘mountain’ inner swimming-pool. The hammam and pool is inlayed with white & silver, glass mosaic of Bisazza, gradually going up to the top of the hammam.
Luxury apartment Dubai
This is one of the team’s current projects. Some of the challenges they face are always the difference in culture and local influences. For this client in Dubai the interior designers try to create a very classic Ralph Lauren style with deep red and green tones.
