Biennale Interieur announced the  winner the Designer of the Year 2014 award.

Belgian designer Marina Bautier was honoured for her discrete, elegant furniture and for her entrepreneurship.

Born in 1980, Marina Bautier graduated from the Buckinghamshire New University and started her studio in Brussels in 2003. She designed for such Belgian and international labels as Swedese, Ligne Roset and Stattmann Neue Moebel, Idée and Case.

In May 2013, after 10 years of working in the furniture industry, Marine launched her own furniture brand and opened a store in Brussels. MA style focuses on high quality materials, usability, yet devoting a lot of attention to appearance.

Marine Bautier is known for her functional approach, strongly inspired by the discreet and minimalistic Scandinavian approach. All of her designs are exclusively produced in Belgium and on the market at affordable prices.
