Grade II listed Regents Park Terrace is a marriage of subtle modernity and timeless classicism. The designers have inserted rich rosewood with understated contemporary detail whilst being truly respectful to the buildings original features. It is a reinterpretation of the old – a present day translation. Modern panelling sits against the classic marble, separated by inlayed bronze trim that also acts as a handle detail – a striking collective of materials that sit beautifully together.

This Knightsbridge property is focused around light and dark. Studio created this design to dictate and sculptor light within the space and marry the conflict of function and aesthetic. Light responds to dark volumes clad in smoked wood and leather, which seamlessly conceal and reveal a function. A continuation of natural light is suggested through the lights intimate response to bespoke antique mirror – illuminating the space.

This striking apartment is situated on Grosvenor Square. This interior combines unobtrusive modernity with an understated elegance – a timeless mix of classical detail and modern sophistication. Light is captured and reflected by a solitary central piece, which was clad in antique mirror. The principal rooms peel away from this, taking on a classical tone by introducing hand painted and fielding panelling with gold leaf detailing. The designers contrasted the rosewood timber and rich herringbone floor with furniture and fabrics in peaceful tones of blue, gold and ivory.

This Istanbul Duplex Penthouse was inspired by the city and the extensive views of the Bosphorus. 1508 London created a home that could host artwork, friends and family. Studio worked with local craftsman to select materials to create statement features. Blue Onyx was sourced for the kitchen island. A protective screen hides a junction of beams – patterned in a modern interpretation of an ancient Selcuk design that were repeated throughout the space. Minimalist frameless windows expose the river view and reflective mirrored walls further enhance the sense of exposure.

This Penthouse occupies the 6th and 7th floor of a contemporary mixed use building, designed by architect James Stirling. The St James Park and Mayfair location is breathtaking – as is the view of London, which was emphasised with open plan layout. The limed oak panelling which wraps the walls and ceiling provides a simple, elegant light filled interior to showcase the art, furniture and soft furnishings. A contrasting mix of palettes, art and soft furnishings create this distinguished interior – with eclectic tones at its heart.
