Joaquin Torres and Rafael Llamazares constitute A-cero a Spanish architecture and design team.
They started as architects, admiring the classics like Le Corbusier and Mies, but feeling a special attraction towards John Pawson’s minimalist architecture, and always following Spanish masters like Ignacio Ramos and Jose Antonio Vicens.
After designing their own studio, they took small projects that with their imagination were an immediate success. That attracted Amancio Ortega’s attention, the Inditex founder, making them one of his main store designers.

Houses and interiors done by the studio have unique forms, but always maintaining their standard shapes, extreme curves and angles that are also shared by their interior and furniture designs.
The key of A-cero’s work is that the project is elaborated from an original concept until the whole definition of each detail, keeping the main idea throughout the entire process.
Currently A-cero is experiencing a huge internationalization process, with projects in Europe, UAE, Lebanon, Russia, Saudi Arabia, and the U.S.
