Born in 1925 in a wealthy family of notables from Lyon (founders of the Maynard & Sons Bank and descendants of the Montgolfier) Andrée grew up in the house full of intellectuals. Her artistic education came first through music – her mother Louise Saint-René Taillandier taking her to the concerts and urging to learn piano. After being told that she is never going to be a virtuous pianist Andrée continued music education in composition, eventually giving up hard and full of sacrifices career as a composer.

Alexander Lotersztain – an Argentinian born Australian – is the designer and founder of the studio Derlot, a highly awarded studio specialized in product, furniture, interior design, but also in hotel concepts, branding, with a enormous list of clients, like Idee (Japan), Nestle (Switzerland), Virgin Australia Airline (Australia). Bill Bensley, was born a stone’s throw from Disneyland in Orange California at a time when orange groves actually thrived mile after mile. Of English parentage, Bensley, a tail end baby boomer, enjoyed his childhood tending the local farms and fruit orchards, as one did in those good days. Bill’s english sister, Ann, remains best friends and often vacation together.
Ben van Berkel is a Dutch architect, working with the architectural practice UNStudio. With his studio he designed many outstanding and important buildings in many different places of the globe. His interdisciplinary design team develops urban projects, builds bridges and public buildings all over the world, as well as working on the design of products and media.

Bogen is a company from Switzerland. In the interior design / architecture, Bogen looks more closely with the people apart, which will use the spaces to be planned. Braulio Baptista is a gifted designer who embodies the intellectual curiosity and talent to sensitively integrate user values and aspirations while creating innovative ideas. For more than a decade at ZGF, he has served as Design Partner and Senior Designer for a broad range of advanced technology and programmatically complex public and institutional buildings. His projects include Bidwell, Sitka, Aspen and Sequoia Houses for Reed College in Portland; Museum Square: Caterpillar International Visitor Center and Peoria Riverfront Museum in Peoria; the Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center at the California Science Center in Los Angeles; Altman Clinical and Translational Research Institute at the University of California, San Diego; and the Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara, Family Justice Center in San Jose; as well as two net-zero energy buildings—the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation Headquarters in Agoura Hills and the Bolsa Chica Conservancy Centre for Coastal Ecology in Huntington Beach.
The renowned architect Brunete Fraccaroli, graduated at the Universidade Mackenzie in Sao Paulo and worldwide known as the colorful architect, is a respected and requestes professional, for both, house and commercial projects. She has projects which may be visited in Milan, Punta del Este, New York, New Orleans and Miami. Her increasing and continuous interest for absolutely all kinds of materials and esthetics limits her time to the extreme, once her daily routine includes walking up early to take care of her projects and constructions personally counting on a great team in her office, to administrate Fraccaroli, essences and fragrance factory inherited from her great-grandfather inherited from her great-grandfather, desires her young daughter.
Bunny Williams is one of the great interior designers that can be found on this year’s AD100 list. She opened her interior design company in 1988, after over 20 years of working for a decorating studio Parish-Hadley Associates. Bunny has also launched a collection of furniture and accessories known as Bunny Williams Home (including side tables, lamps, chairs, case pieces, upholstery, mirrors, coffee and drinks tables) and since 1991 co-owns a garden furniture and ornament shop in New York, with antiques dealer John Rosselli, extending her love of design to beyond the interiors.
The Campana Brothers (Humberto Campana and Fernando Campana) are Brazilian designers. In 1983, the two brothers teamed up to make furniture made of ordinary materials including scrap and waste products such as cardboard, rope, cloth and wood scraps, plastic tubes and aluminium wire. From 1997, some of their products including the Vermelha chair began to be produced and sold in Italy. In 1998 the Campana Brothers became the first Brazilian artists to exhibit their work at The Museum of Modern Art in New York, along with German lighting designer Ingo Maurer. The Campana Brothers are represented by Friedman Benda in New York, Carpenters Workshop Gallery in London and Paris, as well as Galleria O in Rome.
Christian Liaigre was born in La Rochelle, France in 1943. He studied at the Paris Academy of Fine and Decorative Arts and taught drawing at the Academy Charpentier. After spending 10 years as a horse breeder he decided to open a studio in 1987, focusing on interior architecture and furniture design. His first project to win acclaim was the refurbishment of the Hotel Montalembert in Paris in 1988. Generally speaking, the designer is known due to the fact that he designed private residences for such notables as Calvin Klein, Karl Lagerfeld, Rupert Murdoch and Bryan Adams.

Cheryl Torrenueva is a Canadian designer, best known as a personality on television shows produced by HGTV Canada. A graduate of Ryerson University, Torrenueva started in television as a contestant on Designer Superstar Challenge. Although she did not win, she was offered the opportunity to become a guest designer on Home to Go, and has since appeared on Rooms That Rock, Restaurant Makeover, Restaurant Impossible and Colin and Justin’s Home Heist.
